WHY I LIKE SPEAKING
I never expected speaking to become such a meaningful part of my career, but it has become one of the things I enjoy most. It gives me the opportunity to bring conversations about illness, sexuality, relationships, identity, and survivorship to larger audiences, and I truly enjoy creating spaces where people feel comfortable talking about topics that are often overlooked, feel difficult to discuss, or simply haven't been addressed before.
Whether I'm presenting to healthcare professionals, students, patients, caregivers, or community organizations, my goal is the same: to create a space where people leave feeling more informed, supported, connected, and better equipped to continue these conversations long after the presentation ends.
Beyond the topics themselves, I genuinely love being in front of an audience. There's something incredibly energizing about making sensitive topics feel approachable, encouraging thoughtful discussion, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and learning from one another. I believe education is most meaningful when people leave feeling more connected to the information, to one another, and to the work they do.
